The forerunner is Binh Tay Liquor Company, run by Soccíeté Francaise des Distilleries de Indochine (SFDIC) of France. The company was officially started construction in 1900 and in operation in 1902.
On November 16, 1977 the Minister of Food signed the Decision No. 2489/LTTP/CT on “Changing Binh Tay Liquor Company to State-owned Enterprise” and renamed Binh Tay Liquor Company into Binh Tay Liquor State-owned machine under the Southern Wine Company.
On June 12, 1993, the Minister of Light Industry signed Decision No. 578/CNN-TCLĐ on the establishment of Binh Tay Liquor Company – State-owned Enterprise under the Ministry of Light Industry.
On June 2, 1994 the Ministry of Light Industry issued Decision No. 585/QD-TCLĐ on renamed Binh Tay Liquor Factory to Binh Tay Liquor Company.
On December 20, 1996, the Minister of Industry issued Decision No. 3857/QD-TCCB on the merger of Binh Tay Liquor Company into Saigon Beer Company and changed its name to Binh Tay Liquor Factory directly under the Saigon Beer Company, which is accounted dependently, has a bank account and its own seal for transactions according to the regulations of the General Director. All offices and factories are located at 621 Pham Van Chi Ward 7, District 6, Ho Chi Minh HCM
On August 2, 1999 the Minister of Industry issued Decision No. 1667/QD-KHĐT on approving the Project of Investment in building and renewing the production line of starch alcohol at Binh Tay Liquor Factory.
On March 27, 2001, the Minister of Industry issued Decision No. 19/2001/QD-BCN on the establishment of Binh Tay Liquor Company on the basis of Binh Tay Liquor Factory under Saigon Beer Company.
On May 6, 2003, the Minister of Industry issued Decision No. 74/2003/QD-BCN on the establishment of Saigon Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation; Binh Tay Liquor Company is a member company of the Corporation.
On September 3, 2003, the Minister of Industry issued Decision No. 2189/QD-TDTP on the approval of “Project to relocate polluting production facilities and invest in building and renovating the starch alcohol production line with the capacity of 4.5 million liters/year of Binh Tay Liquor Company in the Industrial Park ”
On May 9, 2005, the Minister of Industry issued Decision No. 1664/QD-TCCB on approving the plan and changing Binh Tay Liquor Company into Binh Tay Liquor Joint Stock Company.
In June 2006, Binh Tay Liquor Joint Stock Company – Binh Duong Alcohol Wine Factory with capacity of 4.5 million liters/year was officially in operation.
